Coming in a future season – thoughtfully, slowly, sustainably.
WOW, I always wanted to be good at making web sites. I like the instant gratification you get from putting something on a web site and the whole world can see it right away.
Amy’s course has already enabled me to find free resources, that she knows are good, like backing up your web site and form building to get a following and address database.
She puts all kinds of resources and learning overviews on the course website so that we can go back and look at things slowly and in detail. She also has a wide breadth of marketing experience and thinks of pertinent ideas for all sorts of businesses.
It’s fun and I can’t wait to make money as a web site builder.
Amy is extremely knowledgeable, so friendly, empathetic, and genuinely invested in helping her students succeed. The Capture Workshop with Cottage Coders was an incredible experience!
I am an absolute beginner in web development, but Amy does a fantastic job of making sure everyone feels seen, and is comfortable with the pace of the class. She ensures unmatched personal attention for each student by intentionally limiting the class size to a small group.
She creates a supportive and non-judgemental learning environment where you not only gain essential web development skills but also build something tangible for your own business—an email capture system, free gift, and landing page. If you’re looking to learn the basics of web development while actively improving your business, I highly recommend this workshop!

Not Sure if The Cottage Coder Membership is Right for You?
The Cottage Coder Membership is NOT for everyone, and to be honest, we’d like you to know before you sign up, rather than wasting your time.
Who is a good fit:
People who can use a phone and a computer comfortably.
This will be easier if you can already navigate a computer and a phone without any trouble. Basic things, like typing, entering passwords, getting verification codes sent to your phone, etc. are essential for doing well in this course.
People who are non-techy
This will be easier if you are a beginner at web development. While more advanced people are welcome to join, the lessons are geared toward people who have no experience.
People who want to nurture their own tech.
People are naturally good at nurturing. And tech is an area that has been intimidating to a lot of people. But, this is taught in a really non-techy step-by-step format. You’ll be successful if you keep an open mind and a good attitude.
Who wouldn’t fit in:
People who are experienced coders.
The Inner Circle is geared toward beginners. While we will be adding more advanced topics as we go, right now the topics are set up for people with no prior experience.
Grumpy people
OK, I’ll just put this out there. I don’t like working with grumpy people. I consider all my students to be my friends, and I will go out of my way to help them as much as I can. Our forums are safe places where people should feel like they can ask any questions and get some friendly advice. So, if you’re grumpy, this probably isn’t the best fit for you.
